Signaling the company's styling language of the future, the Nuccio concept gushes with details such as the webbed lattice design in the front fascia and sides. The front end also incorporates an LED light bar in lieu of traditional right and left headlamp units.

The front windscreen is a solid concave piece of glass that extends way past the dash panel well into the front body while blending into the roof waves eliminating any rear glass. However, looking at the illustrations we can see an LCD monitor positioned behind the headrest which projects a rear view from a camera.

At the rear there are brushed aluminum tail pipes in a trapezoidal shape which flank a huge exposed diffuser which travels half way up the rear body.

We're a bit disappointed as the company did not release any additional information, particularly a design analysis for the Nuccio, but perhaps the pictures say it all

On the eve of the 1997 Geneva Motor Show, Lilli Bertone promised her husband, Nuccio, that she would forever carry the company in his name. And this year's Geneva Motor Show was the natural choice for the world premiere of the Nuccio concept, which celebrates the design house centennial and pays homage to the son of the company's founder.

The Italian design house says that the new concept is tasked to "carry the moral legacy of the Master into the new millennium, confirming Bertone once again among the international leaders of car design."

The Nuccio is a fully functional prototype powered by a mid-mounted, 480HP 4.3-liter V8. It measures 4,800mm in length, 1,950mm in width and 1,220mm in height, with a 2,600mm wheelbase.

Being based on the Mercedes commercial van platform, the Viano is a questionable effort on a cross-over to a people carrier. It is one of the only vehicles available that has space for eight passengers, although the final two seats are cramped. The interior is huge but strangely for a Mercedes, there isn't much in the way of standard equipment. Prices start at just over £28,000. Second Hand Mercedes-Benz Viano’s are available from under £10,000.

The Mercedes-Benz Viano (sold as the V-Class in some markets) is a multi-purpose vehicle based on the popular Mercedes-Benz Vito commercial panel van. The first generation went on sale in 1996; it is presently in its second generation, having undergone a number of changes - including a new name - in 2004. In 2010 Mercedes-Benz gave the Viano a facelift with revised front and rear bumpers and lights. The interior was also improved with upgraded materials and new technology added.

The Viano is available in both rear- and four-wheel-drive configurations and comes in three lengths, two wheelbases and a choice of four modern petrol and diesel engines (as well as two specialist tuned models) coupled to either a six-speed manual or five-speed TouchShift automatic transmission.
